No. The Blingar Race Keeper app is not a GPS tracker. It’s best used in addition to your preferred fitness counter which tracks location, mileage, and time. At no time is your location being tracked by the Blingar app.
The Blingar Race Keeper app requires permission to access your device’s Camera, Photo Gallery, and Microphone to fully function.

• Microphone access allows you to hear audio with your themed AR celebrations and record videos with sound.
Non-media are functions are usable if permissions are denied.
Augmented reality is an experience where digital (computer-generated) objects are superimposed in the real (physical) world. AR is typically experienced through a smartphone using a custom viewing app or special glasses.
Blingar does not currently offer the ability to enter or access race information through the Blingar website, but that option is being explored.

Lack of audio during theme AR celebrations and recorded video is the result of the app being denied access to your Microphone. Access can be granted by changing your permissions in your device settings.

To receive the correct badges for “pixie dusted” races, be sure to include the brand name for that race organization in the event name. Hint: it starts with “Dis.” Also, include the correct Date and City (Orlando, Anaheim, Paris, etc.).
Blingar is co-created by a team of endurance athletes from around the globe with a mission to promote physical and mental fitness through positive reinforcement.
When it comes to races, our motto is simple: “Capture the moments beyond the metrics.”
We believe that a race is not just another daily activity to be calculated and tracked. It’s the culmination of months, sometimes years, of dedication and hard work. It’s an achievement that is earned with every mile and deserves to be remembered long after you cross the Finish line.
We take great pride in helping you do just that.
While the Blingar Race Keeper app is a new offering, it’s not our first race around the course.
The Blingar founding team has over 25 years experience creating unforgettable athlete keepsakes for some of the world’s largest race organizations.
